Imagine

John Lennon sang a song called “Imagine”. In the song he asks us to imagine a world without a heaven or hell, no countries, no religion, no possessions, no greed or hunger, all the people sharing all the world. He asks us to join all those who believe in such a world. Let’s imagine with him. It’s easy to think that if there was no heaven or hell, then we can also imagine that there is no God either, and of course, if there is no God then we can live and act as we want. But if this was so, then what is the purpose of living if there is no future after death? Here today and gone tomorrow, I think is harder to imagine. I would like to think that there is a purpose to life and that purpose is having a life after death. Now I’m not talking about reincarnation, because that too makes me feel a little schizophrenic. No, I want to be me here and I want to be me in the next life, and that life is either in heaven or in hell. He wants us to imagine that there is no religion, but without religion then there is no God and if there is no God then we are all domed when we die. What is the purpose of living? We must have a purpose or else why are we here? A big bang could not have created  such a variety of species and with such detail and complexity in which we find in the human body. Think of the variety in fruits. How many types of bananas are there, or apples or trees? And that is only a few, there is the brown bear and polar bear and black bear and how many types of butterflies and birds?  He wants us to have no countries or possessions. This sounds like the One World Order. This is what globalism is all about. We are all to be the same as if we are cloned from one person. No, we are all human beings and we are all different for a reason. We all think differently and look differently and dress differently because we are all living beings who all have their own personality and their own lives to live. This is the beauty of life and this did not come about by some big bang. How boring life would be if we were all programmed the same. We are not artificial intelligence, we were all created differently so that we can help each other through life. It’s love that keeps us from being greedy, it is love that keeps us helping each other in our needs, whether it is physical or emotional or if we need help working on our homes or even crossing the street. We do not want to join in this revolt against mankind. All these thousands of years people have lived and mankind has survived because the One who created all things has kept everything in balance. No big bang could have kept the universe going in perfect balance for all these years. We must not fall into the trap of globalism, humanism or communism. We must not lose our identity because if we do then we will lose who we are and that alone makes us non existing. Like the song says, “All we need is love” and love comes from the Father of love and that is our Creator who is love. 1 John 4 tells us ,My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know Him if you don’t love.”

Today, stop imagining things and begin to live life in reality, and that reality is that we need each other, and we need our Creator, and we need to love one another, and to love one another means we must let people be who they are. Love is blind to race, creed, and status. Let’s go beyond imagining when it comes to loving one another, as God has loved us.
