The things that really mattered years ago, do not seem to matter today.
You have to ask yourself, why? Can life change so much that we would consider what was important, no longer important? Well, this is true on many fronts, only because of technology and advancements in medicines, and our knowledge has increased over time about so many things. But some things never change, like truth and honor and integrity. Who we are as individuals and how we treat each other is what’s really important. We talk about social justice and hatred and racism, and yet, time has proven that these things have improved. You see the longer you live the more you are experiencing history. Yes, young people today protest many things. But there has been protesting for one thing or another for at least a hundred years. Life has changed and we have seen the change. Women can vote, sit on a jury, become Vice President of the United States, and even the Speaker of the House and a Supreme Court Justice. Black people also have come a long way, they too, can now be whatever they wish to be, even the President of the United States, doctors, principals, lawyers, senators, even billionaires, like Oprah, Michael Jordan, Kanye West, for a few. We must be free thinkers and to do that we must analyze truth from a lie. This is what’s been going on for decades. You see, if you want to “stir up a pot”, which is an old saying for causing trouble or controversy, all you have to do is discredit the truth. Make people believe that they really are not seeing what they think they are seeing, and continue to repeat the lie until people think it is the truth. Wokeness has become the new religion, well in fact, wokeness is nothing more than Humanism which has been around since the beginning of time. It began with the Devil and he carried it through to the Garden of Eden, and onward to the Tower of Babel, right up to today. But one day the religion of Humanism and the Devil will be taken down by the Messiah who will come and restore the earth to its original state. So what does really matter? Love, kindness, generosity, peace and so much more, like helping the poor, or elderly, or disabled. You see, all lives do matter. These things are for all generations. Each person must do his part in helping society. The Bible tells us that we will reap what we sow. Galatians 6:8-10 also says, “Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Is this not what really matters? Let’s not follow a crowd because it is the woke thing to do, or the political thing to do, or just because everyone else is doing it, but let us take the road less traveled . Galatians 5:1 says, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” You too, could be a slave if you follow the crowd. If you follow Jesus’s words you will be doing Social Justice, you will be serving your fellow man and you will be free in all that you do because you are following the truth of God’s Word, and that really matters, because that leads to eternal life.
