America is the greatest nation on earth. It is greater than any empire that ever existed. Why? Because we have every nation and every tongue living in America. This is the land of the free and yet, we are taught today that it is the worst of  all nations. No! America has given the world more than any other nation. This land was born because of those who saw freedom, and so they laid their lives down to get it, and ever since, we have fought to keep not only America free but the world. How has the world been set free? Well, we have fought alongside many countries to make sure that they were not overtaken by other countries. Because of America, Europe was saved from those like Hitler who wanted to rule an empire, so they started  WWI and  WWII.  We saved South Korea from being taken over by North Korea. We saved South Vietnam from being taken over by North Vietnam.  In essence, it was to keep these countries from being taken over by communism. But the fact that America won the war over Great Britain was the most victorious victory ever. The odds were against us, they had more men fighting, that had more guns and artillery than us, they had more money and resources and experienced men of war than us. And yet, against all odds, we won. This was a miracle. General Washington and his men went through a very difficult winter at Valley Forge. There was little food and the men had walked through their shoes and the cold winter affected their feet and with little food and warm clothing many men perished. All of this was nothing more than birth pangs for God the Almighty was giving birth to a nation that would be great. When we won the war, well, we had no idea how to run a country and yet, God showed us how to live by freedom and how to prosper. America saw none to little inflation at one time because we were a thankful nation that knew our God who was the giver of this nation. Yes, God taught us to walk and we did walk and kept walking as He provided and protected us. Whoever came against us lost. But today we are no longer that thankful nation that we once were. People have stopped giving God glory. Our priorities have changed. The light on a hill to all nations has slowly dimmed. We have accepted the ideas of all those who have come from other counties. We went from burning witches in Salem to accepting and even practicing their ways. We have turned our backs on God and His Commandments, even taking them out of our schools, and we now follow a New Age idea that has brought many ideas that once were very foreign to the people of this nation. Our flag, our morals and beliefs, that standard we once had of love for our neighbor, have all gone by the wayside. Poverty has overtaken us more and more, even to the point that we have people living on our streets. The wealthiest nation in the world has sunk so low that we would even think to allow such things that we have now allowed. The birth of this nation that was so grand that we celebrated it with fireworks and parades and picnics has fallen into such darkness, serving other gods and becoming so divided that it makes the time of the Civil War look like child’s play. Yes, God gave us the victory in the Civil War and America became united once again, but now the victories have fallen short and even though as they say in the nursery rhyme “Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. Humpty Dumpty could not be put together again,” is not what we want. We must come back to what made us great. People who were united and neighborly with businesses prospering because they treated their workers with respect and most of all we were people who loved the One True God. America did not only win wars but America achieved great things that helped the whole world. We rebuilt Europe after WWII, we brought about the airplane and the moon landing and the internet. We have promoted free markets ( capitalism) and democracy around the world. We have contributed to science and health and because of  the strength of America for the most part, has kept the world from any adversary taking control over another nation. Let’s once again take pride in the land of the free, the land that God created for us to all live in harmony with one another. Let’s once again be the light of God’s Word to the world by bringing His hope and His peace and His justice to all the world and we will see America rise again to its greatness because its people won’t be following those who wish to destroy us by getting us to walk away from our Constitution, our flag, our freedom, our long standing history, for some other nation or belief. After 250 years, God has been faithful to us, even though we have not been faithful to Him. Our Constitution still stands true and freedom still exists. So despite what we all may think, America the land where we live, is our nation, our home, and no one should tell us that we live in a land that is inferior or they have a better way, or we should be disgraced by our country because they are only trying to take us down so they can rise up. No! Let us rise up and celebrate our 250 years that God has given us. God bless America, land that I love.  Stand beside her and guide her with Your light.
We have so much to be thankful for, and if we could for a moment, Â just realize that no country is perfect, we would be thankful for our freedom and the prosperity of this country. We would see that we truly are the light on the hill for all to run to in the time of trouble.
